VISIT VIÑA REAL WINERY [LAGUARDIA]

Viña Real dates back to 1920. Today, it is not only a pioneering winery in the production of wines for aging in Rioja Alavesa, but also a timeless brand that has always remained true to its origins, being genuine and sincere. Since then, Viña Real has achieved a careful balance between tradition and modernity, which has defined both its form and content.

In 2004, we inaugurated the new Viña Real winery in Laguardia, designed by architect Philippe Mazieres, located on the top of a hill, just 10 minutes from Logroño, where the entire process takes place, from the entry of the grapes to the shipment of the bottled wine. The grapes of the Rioja Alavesa are at the heart of this winery. The proximity of the vineyards to the old Camino Real inspired its name. Integrated into the Cerro de la Mesa, the monumental vat of nearly 30,000 square meters, which is the Viña Real building, stands as an iconic design of 2004, managing to merge the Rioja orography with the building itself.
