The history of Bodega Velasco began in 1955, when Dativo Velasco Fernández settled in Toro after arriving from Medina del Campo. Although he initially worked in wholesale fish trading, encouraged by his children, he soon started making wine in the old family winery on Calle Corredera.
Over the years, Antonio Velasco took over and in 1999 the family decided to take a new step with the construction of a modern winery, registered under the D.O. Toro, which allowed them to start producing bottled wines. Today, it is the fourth generation that keeps the tradition alive, preserving the historical and cultural legacy of the family winery.
WINE TOURISM
Visiting Bodega Velasco means stepping into a unique 17th-century space, full of history and authenticity. The experience includes a guided tour of the historic winery, where visitors discover the traditional wine-making process, followed by a guided tasting of three of the winery’s own wines, accompanied by local cold meats and cheeses.

Una vinoteca con encanto que sorprende desde el primer momento. El trato ha sido excelente: cercanos, amables y con muchas ganas de compartir su pasión por el vino. La visita a su pequeña bodega ha sido todo un detalle, con instalaciones cuidadas y un ambiente acogedor. Además de poder degustar sus vinos, cuentan con una selección de embutidos y botellas a la venta que hacen que la experiencia sea aún más completa. Sin duda, un lugar para repetir y recomendar.
Hemos hecho una visita fantástica a la bodega subterránea, una de las mejores cosas, la compañía de Carlos que es un fenómeno. Recomendable 100%.
