This land, known for its winemaking tradition since Roman times, is located 160 meters above sea level and only 42 kilometers from the coast. - Introduction to the history of the winery, founded in 1682 by Don José de Góngora y Arando.
- A tour through the evolution of wine in the region, from the Tartessian and Phoenician times to the Roman and Arab influences and the wine boom in Seville after the discovery of America.
- Visit to the 16th century wine press, with its Viga and Spindle press, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC).

La bodega más auténtica que he visitado en mi vida! Está situada a media hora de Sevilla. Es la segunda más antigua del país, fundada en 1682. Todos sus rincones son mágicos, los aperos, las barricas antiquísimas, la viga de 17 metros, la salas donde también se pueden celebrar eventos, la entrada majestuosa con parras para proteger de sol....actualmente se encuentra en obras para mejorar la propiedad y construir un pequeño hotel. De sus vinos destacar el palo cortado y el Oloroso. Agradecer a Manuel Reverte su hospitalidad en ls dos ocasiones que he estado allí. En cuanto inauguren el hotel volveremos seguro!
Bodegas Góngora, son las segundas bodegas en activo más antiguas de España. Están ligadas a Villanueva del Ariscal, y al Aljarafe. Allí los puedes visitar a diario, probar sus vinos, algunos tan sorprendentes como el vino de chocolate, de naranja o el vermout propio. Y también vinos más tradicionales como el mosto, vinos blancos, finos, solera, dulces... Visita obligada si vienes a Villanueva del Ariscal.
