VISIT GUTIÉRREZ DE LA VEGA WINERY [MARINA ALTA]
Bodegas Gutiérrez de la Vega is located in the Marina Alta region surrounded by numerous mountains, valleys and a coastline with abundant cliffs, coves and headlands. Being very characteristic the landscape of sun and dry stone, Mediterranean flora such as rosemary, thyme, pebrella, orange blossom... making wines very marked by this idiosyncrasy.
Wines linked to art, the result of the passion that Felipe, owner and winemaker of the winery, has had for music, literature and painting are reflected in all his wines, as he says "the wine served as an excuse to talk about the great themes of life”.
In this sense it has been very important his collaboration with different actors of the culture as the Alicante painter Perezgil with whom they have a great friendship with the family and who collaborated with different paintings to make some labels as well as Marc Dekeister French painter, also Monserrat Caballé, Lambert, Oscar Bento, Castejón or even Camilo Jose Cela being the latter who dedicated a speech called "Elogio del Vino” (In Praise of Wine).
In 2004 his wine Casta Diva Cosecha Miel was chosen as dessert wine for the wedding of H.M.H.M. the King and Queen of Spain Don Felipe and Doña Leticia.
VISIT AND TASTING
The visit to Bodega Gutiérrez de la Vega is not only an oenological experience, but also a cultural one. Felipe, winemaker and owner of the winery, will guide the group through the different rooms, such as the 16th century Alicante-inspired kitchen, the medieval cloister and the Sacristy of Pleasure, where the Arabic floor of the Alhambra meets the Mudejar brick and gives way to the Romanesque stone wall.
Next, you will visit the winemaking room, the labeling area and the impressive barrel park 5 meters underground, where the wines rest on a bed of different types of oak wood—French, American, and Italian—often harmonized by a set of musical notes from great and varied authors. The oenocultural visit will be guided by Mr. Felipe Gutierrez de la Vega, owner and winemaker. Exclusive wines chosen by Felipe for the occasion will be tasted.

Magnífica experiencia la visita a las Bodegas Gutiérrez de la Vega. Don Felipe es una enciclopedia andante y además de hablarte del vino te cuenta múltiples anécdotas sobre música, literatura, historia, etc. Además la bodega es pequeña pero muy bonita al igual que la casa que hay encima. Al final la prueba de vinos es una de las más completas y mejores que recuerdo y he visitado decenas de bodegas. Y todo esto solo por 20 € la visita, casi un regalo comparado con los precios que están cobrando bodegas con menos interés que está. Totalmente recomendada.

Vinos Marina Alta, vinagres, aceites y más .... Sala de degustación. Extensa carta de vinos, con una excelente relación calidad precio. La bodega con sus barricas, de roble francés, americano y húngaro, descansan en una gruta excavada bajo tierra con sus paredes de piedra que le dan la temperatura y humedad precisa y constante optimizando el estado de los vinos.
