La Viña del Abuelo is located in the heart of the Toro Designation of Origin, a winery born out of passion and respect for the land. Surrounded by Tinta de Toro vines that are over 50 years old, we have been cultivating more than 8 hectares of vineyards since 2006, where expert hands select the best grapes each year.
Our philosophy combines tradition and modernity: we have advanced facilities and a team that keeps Toro's wine-making legacy alive, while promoting innovation in every bottle. As a result, our wines have received numerous awards that attest to the dedication and effort of all these years.
Visiting Toro is also an experience in itself. Its 16th- and 17th-century palaces and mansions, the imposing Collegiate Church, the fortress, and the numerous medieval churches, together with a local cuisine where Toro wines play a leading role, make each visit an unforgettable memory.
WINE TOURISM
At La Viña del Abuelo, we open our doors so you can experience our passion for wine up close. Our winery, located in a historic building in the heart of Toro, invites you to discover the winemaking process and the history that defines us.
We offer different wine tourism experiences:
Guided tour of the winery and tavern
Discover how we make our wines, learn about the history of the building, and enjoy a glass of wine accompanied by a tapa in our tavern.
Price: €10 (includes glass of wine + tapa).
Visit to our vineyard in Toro
Enjoy a walk through our vineyards, surrounded by spectacular scenery and beautiful views. The experience ends with a tasting of two of our most renowned wines, guided by the winery's oenologist, to understand how the vineyard is transformed into wine.
Price: €20 (available for groups).
In addition, throughout the year we organize activities that go beyond the visit: themed tastings, mycological workshops, our Wine Club, and other events that connect wine, culture, and nature in a unique setting.

Agradecer a Alvaro el trato dispensado en el restaurante. Muy buena comida y muy buen vino (viña del Abuelo Premiun). Si estáis por Toro, acercaos a tomar una ración allí. También nos atendió fenomenal la persona que nos enseñó la bodega y los entresijos de la elaboración de su vino. Por más que estoy haciendo memoria, no recuerdo su nombre. Ruego me disculpe. Que gran idea es recorrer Castilla y disfrutarla
El sitio es precioso, la atención buenisima y sobre todo el disfrutar del vino de la viña de donde nace, el paseo por la viña es un placer, altisimamente recomendabe para disfrutar de un buen plan de fin de semana.
