VISIT CASTILLO DE MONJARDÍN WINERY [NAVARRA]
Castillo de Monjardín, located in the middle zone of Navarra, sits at the foot of the Pyrenees, not far from the French border. Originally, the Castle of Monjardín was of great importance for the Kingdom of Navarra in the 12th century under the reign of Sancho Garces, today thousands of pilgrims pass through it on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Our wines are characterized by their proximity and historical-cultural closeness to France, which provide the tradition of the elaboration of varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In addition, we make great Grenache and Pinot Noir with a fresh and fruity profile.
During the last 30 years, we have been awarded with more than 100 international medals and important publications. Our estates are oriented to the sun, at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level, and aired by the "Cierzo" wind. Our family vineyards are a total of 220 hectares of 15, 25 and 70 years old.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The differentiating advantage of Monjardín is the unique microclimate, which together with the great experience of Víctor Del Villar and his team, we elaborate singular wines full of intense aromas, elegant flavors and firm structure. All wines are made with grapes from our family vineyards, controlled fermentations and aged in French and American oak. We combine the best traditional methods with innovation through the latest winemaking techniques. Our goal is to achieve high quality wines, which complement the Mediterranean Cuisine and represent the land of our vineyards being Castillo de Monjardin one of the most important brands in Spain.

Increíble visita y comida. Recomendable 100%, la visita ha sido super completa, nos han explicado todos los procesos de elaboración del vino muy bien, la chica muy agradable y entendida en el tema. La comida calidad precio ha superado nuestras expectativas. Repetiremos sin duda!
