Hacienda López de Haro Winery is located on the top of a hill in the historic village of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. A place that combines the excellent conditions of the grapes with the essence of the Rioja winemaking tradition to create a wide range of elegant wines with their own personality. Wines such as those in the Hacienda López de Haro collection, made following traditional methods to transmit the fusion between the traditional and the modern.
The heart of Rioja
San Vicente de la Sonsierra is located in a privileged location for the cultivation of vines. A region located under the mountains of Cantabria and the Toloño mountain range, which protect it from the cold winds of the Cantabrian Sea, and with the Ebro river to the south to provide the humidity it needs.
A unique climate
This location creates an ideal microclimate for the vineyard. On the one hand, with just enough wind to facilitate perfect aeration of the vines, and on the other hand, favoring mild temperatures throughout the year with more rainfall during the winter months.
Centenary Tempranillos
This region is home to the best old Tempranillo vineyards in La Rioja Alta. These are goblet-trained vineyards grown in very poor soils, which significantly reduces their production and increases the quality of the clusters.
Millenary history
The fields of San Vicente are full of cave wine presses and other prehistoric sites related to viticulture. Wine was already being made in this area more than two thousand years ago.

Es muy buena elección para hacer visita. Nuestra guía Pilar nos contó muchos datos curiosos de la historia de la bodega, el clima y las viñas y a como diferenciar un vino de otro. Muy amable, simpática y con mucha paciencia. Los vinos de la cata estaban buenísimos, terminas con ganas de querer comprarlo todo. Muy recomendable.
La mejor visita a una bodega que hemos hecho. La bodega es muy chula, pero el gran valor es la guía que te acompaña y te explica la elaboración del vino y la historia del vino de Rioja. La cata de los vinos genial. En resumen una gran experiencia
Una de las mejores experiencias que hemos tenido en una bodega! Visita en vendimia, que da un toque especial, ves temas de produccion que nunca antes habíamos visto, desde la uva entrando hasta la cata final. Sería un lugar que aconsejaría sin ningún tipo de duda. Sebastián ha hecho la visita muy amena, interactuando y no se ha hecho para nada aburrida
