VISIT BODEGA HONDA [REQUENA] 

Bodega Honda is located in the heart of the historic quarter of Requena (Valencia). It is an underground winery carved into the rock, part of the network of subterranean cellars that characterise the neighbourhood of La Villa, where wine has been made and stored below ground for centuries. Its structure and niches date from medieval times and allow visitors to observe traditional wine preservation techniques that have endured to this day.

From this singular setting, the winery aims to bring visitors closer to the practical origins of wine in Utiel-Requena, showcasing clay jars and caves that evoke the history of wine in the region.

Bodega Honda offers a wine tourism programme rooted in the historical interpretation of wine as a cultural and productive element of Requena. The tour through its 13th-century underground caves provides context for the evolution of winemaking and wine storage in this Mediterranean winegrowing hub.
