VISIT TEMERARIO VINOS
Temerario Vinos was born from a traditional family of winegrowers from Aldeanueva de Ebro, in Rioja Baja. Originally part of a cooperative, they decided to take an independent step to reflect the uniqueness of some of their best plots: old vineyards planted in the municipalities of Alfaro and Aldeanueva de Ebro, in diverse environments such as the plains of Alfaro, Mount Yerga, and the Sierra de los Agudos. The project was created with a clear purpose: to ensure the economic viability of old vineyards that would otherwise be uprooted, while honestly expressing their full potential through their wines.
They work with four estate-owned plots featuring less common varieties in Rioja: Garnacha, Mazuela, and Viura. All are bush-trained and were planted between the 1960s and 1980s. The range includes a Garnacha rosé, a Viura white, and two single-varietal reds from Garnacha and Mazuela, showcasing Rioja’s historic wine heritage.
