VISIT BODEGAS ALONSO GONZÁLEZ WINERY [RIOJA]
Bodegas Alonso González is a family winery established in 1977 by Joaquín Zuñeda and María Nieves Estíbaliz. In 1982, their daughter María Pilar Zuñeda and her husband Carlos Alonso González founded the winery in Abalos, producing wines under the brand name "Cantauri". In 2001, their son, Carlos Alonso Zuñeda, continued the tradition with a focus on quality wines.
The winery, with modern facilities of 600m2, produces 180,000 liters of wine annually, with an emphasis on young wines and reserves. Its vineyards in Abalos and Samaniego, located between 520 and 580 meters above sea level, benefit from the influence of two climates, Atlantic and Mediterranean, creating a unique microclimate for growing high quality grapes.
