VISIT BODEGAS BLANCO NIEVA [D.O. RUEDA]

The winemaking history of Nieva dates back to the 12th century, reaching its peak in the 19th century thanks to the Carthusian monastery. Today, Bodegas y Viñedos Nieva produces premium wines under the D.O. Rueda exclusively from Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc.

Located near Segovia, the winery is defined by a distinctive terroir that yields fresh, elegant and complex wines. Since 2009, Bodegas Martúe has led this project, maintaining its philosophy of small productions at competitive prices.

Blanco Nieva owns 60 hectares of vineyard, mainly Verdejo, including 12 hectares of Pie Franco with vines over 100 years old, as well as Sauvignon Blanc. Situated at over 850 metres above sea level on sandy soils with stones, these vineyards allow the Verdejo grape to express its full potential, aided by the extreme climate of the area.

WINE TOURISM

Blanco Nieva welcomes visitors every day for private groups and open groups on Saturdays at 11:30. Visits include a guided tour of the vineyards and facilities, culminating in a commented tasting of three wines — two whites and a red from our Pago winery in Toledo. Blanco Nieva also has an Activities Department to organise personalised experiences: private tastings, blind tastings, group lunches, corporate events and celebrations.
