VISIT VIÑA MAMBRILLA [RIBERA DEL DUERO]
Viña Mambrilla is a family winery in Mambrilla de Castrejón, in the Burgos sector of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The Arranz family has been producing wines independently since 1999, though their connection to the local vineyard predates the phylloxera outbreak of the 19th century: the surviving vines still form the backbone of part of their production.
The winery works exclusively with Tinta del País across 60 hectares of estate vineyards, between 790 and 850 metres above sea level, with plots of up to 100 years of age. Harvest is done by hand with selection in the vineyard by plot age. Winemaking is carried out without additives, using native yeasts, and ageing takes place in 500 oak barrels — predominantly French oak — for periods ranging from six to thirty months.

Viña Mambrilla offers guided tours of its facilities Monday to Sunday, by prior booking and subject to availability. Tours are led by the winemaker and winegrower himself, who has had first-hand knowledge of the vineyard since childhood.

Les conocimos en el 2009 por una ruta de vinos que hicimos y desde entonces son mi punto de referencia para cualquier vino que pruebo. Hay pocos vinos en los supermercados que puedan superar la calidad de Alidis y si lo hacen, es a un precio bastante mayor. Viña Mambrilla Es una bodega moderna y joven comparando con otras bodegas pero saben lo que están haciendo. Empresa familiar que atienda muy bien a los clientes. No hay mejor vino cuando hablamos de calidad/precio y para mi, no hay mejor vino y punto. Hacemos pedidos 2 o 3 veces al año para que nunca nos falta y para poder regalar una botella a alguien especial. Para diario nos gusta el Roble pero siempre pedimos alguna Crianza y Expresión para cenas especiales. El VS tambien es muy bueno.
