VISIT BODEGA MUELAS IN TORDESILLAS [VALLADOLID]
Bodega Muelas has made wine beneath Tordesillas (Valladolid) since 1886, when Quintín Muelas Carrión began the activity in the caves carved out under the town's old quarter. Today the family's fifth generation, Reyes and Helena Muelas, continues the work in the same original underground cellar, part of the network of caves that has run through the "Oter de Sellas" since the Middle Ages.
The vineyard sits a few meters from the Duero, on gravelly soil, planted in goblet form on a traditional wide spacing, and produces Verdejo and Tempranillo. Aging takes place in the historic caves, 13 meters underground, where darkness, silence and constant humidity allow a slow integration of the oak. The winery has been registered under D.O. Rueda since 2019 and is part of IGP Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León.

Bodega Muelas runs guided visits to the underground cellar every day of the year. It offers four different experiences.
Essential Visit
Guided tour of the underground cellar, 13 meters below ground, followed by a wine tasting and an appetizer with artisan cheeses from Valladolid and Muedra wine jelly.

A tasting of historic and archive vintages, uncorking long-aged wines, within the same tour of the underground cellar.

Osluga, the Underground Legacy
A tour of the underground cellar with a stop at the founder's barrel room, where Osluga is made, and a premium wine tasting.

Blind Tasting

Excelente experiencia la visita de Bodegas Muelas. La visita y la cara para recordar, un buen momento y agradable ambiente. Las explicaciones del vino y la cata fue toda una demostración de saber lo que llevan entre manos. Gracias
Magnífica bodega subterránea y la historia que tiene, sobre todo si es Mirian la encargada de explicarte absolutamente todo. Se nota que es una apasionada de su trabajo y te hace vivir una experiencia única e inigualable. Destacar la parte práctica, la cata, donde hemos probado unos vinos brutales y hemos podido poner en práctica todo lo aprendido anteriormente. Muy recomendable!!!
Visita aconsejable 100%. Incluimos la degustación en la visita y fue todo un acierto. Helena y Tatiana nos explicaron todo de manera fenomenal. Todo el proceso es manual. Hacen una producción pequeña pero los caldos que obtienen son muy buenos. Es muy curioso ver como tienen la bodega en las cuevas subterráneas que hay debajo de la vivienda.
