The Rafael Cañizares winery is located in an exceptional natural environment, between the Salinas, La Umbría and La Sima mountain ranges, in the heart of the Alicante PDO. This area is home to the El Puntal site, an important Iberian settlement from the 5th and 4th centuries BC, and the Salinas Lagoon, a key historical and natural enclave for the municipality of Salinas since prehistoric times. With limestone soils at an altitude of 600-750 meters, these soils, with low water retention capacity, are ideal for the production of high quality wines, as was already the case in Roman times.
In 2024, Rafa Cañizares inaugurated his boutique winery in Salinas, a project that fuses tradition and modernity. With a limited production of wines such as Triga, Rafa Cañizares and Sofía Cañizares, the winery highlights the value of terroir and native varieties. Located in an old farmhouse surrounded by vineyards, it offers a unique enogastronomic experience that combines history, cutting-edge technology and the legacy of five generations of winemakers.

Gran sorpresa el descubrimiento de ésta bodega. Recomendable acceder desde la localidad de Salinas. La visita ha sido una experiencia. Instalaciones perfectas para disfrutar del entorno y de sus vinos, sobretodo Triga. Fácil aparcamiento, salas para catas y multifuncionales ideales para reuniones y eventos con show cooking incluido en un entorno acogedor
Genial. No puedo esperar a que abra el restaurante. También los eventos musicales. Por no hablar del excelente vino. Es un hermoso lugar poético.
