We are a family winery. A courageous project that launches tradition into the future. In search of uniqueness, freedom and pleasure.
We elaborate premium wines of limited production, reflection of an exceptional vineyard. Singular in their essence, purity and character.
On our estate, four generations have learned to respect a unique natural environment. The beginning of everything. The mosaic of native varieties is a scale representation of the Rioja vineyard and a fundamental feature of Villota's identity.

VARIETAL RICHNESS. The reds tempranillo, graciano, garnacha and mazuelo. The white varieties are Viura, Garnacha Blanca, Tempranillo Blanco and Malvasía. This diversity is our pride and the basis of our work.

MINIMUM INTERVENTION. We cultivate without herbicides, only with tenacious tillage and constant observation of the natural environment.

STRICT SELECTION. We select the best grapes from all the plots and decide the best time to harvest.

Visit "La Abejera

La Abejera, modest construction with sandstone ashlars, becomes more than ever our particular center of the world.
Tasting of two wines in "La Abejera", the hut in the vineyard where we have experienced so many important moments around our wines, accompanied by a typical Riojan aperitif.
  • Selvanevada white: Vibrant, fresh, juicy. Attractive on all occasions. The wine that welcomes you to the estate and to the Villota project.
  • Villota Tinto: Sum and essence in an intense, fresh and clear wine. It defines the personality of the estate. The sum of soils and environments, the influence of the mountain and the river, the dialogue maintained by the varieties, the balanced ripening.

Visit "La Encina"

A walk and, at the same time, the revelation of a whole world: The diversity of Rioja within reach of our steps.
Next to the banks of the Ebro River, on the lower terrace of the meander, there is a large holm oak tree whose branches shaken by the breeze cool summer evenings.
Tasting of two wines at "La Encina", accompanied by a Riojan aperitif, if circumstances permit. An idyllic spot next to our singular vineyard plot. The place welcomes a quiet beauty, a different harmony.
  • Villota Tinto: Sum and essence in an intense, fresh and elegant wine. It defines the personality of the estate. The sum of soils and environments, the influence of the mountain and the river, the dialogue between the varieties, the balanced ripening.
  • Viña Gena: The first Villota wine to be classified as a Single Vineyard. It is elegant and persistent. Sought-after big. Tempranillo vines, planted in 1930, with almost 95 vintages. From its link with the landscape, conscious cultivation and healthy soils of clay and sand, is born: Viña Gena.
