The winery is located in Ábalos, a small town in La Rioja Alta with a long winemaking tradition in the Sonsierra Riojana, a region that has enjoyed a just fame for the great quality of its wines.
Fernández Eguíluz was created in 1989, then Bodegas Julián Fernández Garrido. Julián is the father of this company and family and a man who has always been dedicated to vine growing and winemaking. He continues to advise the team that today makes up the winery with the knowledge of someone who has spent a lifetime dedicated to it.
The family character and the small extension of vineyards, make Bodegas Fernández Eguiluz winery control and pamper the whole process of our wines, from the traditional work in the field to obtain the best grapes to the most careful oenological processes for the elaboration of the product.
