VISIT VI REI WINERY (MALLORCA)

Llucmajor was one of the first populated areas in Mallorca. This is demonstrated by the numerous talayots and settlements scattered throughout the municipality. It was also one of the first areas where the Romans planted vines. And from the very beginning it stood out for the excellence of its wines.

At the beginning of this century, the planting of new vines will recover and revitalise Llucmajor's wine-growing sector. The Sa Bassa Plana estate is the place chosen for this. Most of the vineyard was planted in 2012 with native varieties such as Premsal Blanc, Manto Negro, Giró Ros and Callet and some of the most important international varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malvasia in a total of 100 ha.
