VISIT LAGAR DE SANTA MAGDALENA WINERY [MORILES]

In 1831, the estate already had "Casas Lagar with all its pewter...”, 40 aranzadas of vineyards and a winery consisting of a cellar with 44 vessels for wine and another with 6 vessels for vinegar production. It also had a courtyard with a central well, a beam press, a spindle and various tools for winemaking.

Since 2015, Chea Madrid and Antonio Alarcón started this project with the commitment to preserve its valuable historical and winemaking legacy.

Its work includes the restoration of the wine press, the care of the estate, the preservation of the soleras of the winery and the production of its wines-wines, very old amontillados, olorosos and Pedro Ximénez-following the traditional management of the vineyard, passed down for generations, with organic farming and practicing regenerative agriculture. The estate is part of the Montilla-Moriles Denomination of Origin and the Cordoba Heritage.

WINE TOURISM

We welcome small groups and arranged visits to discover the beauty of our winery and its surroundings. During the tour, visitors can learn about the winemaking process of our wines and enjoy guided tastings, a unique experience to appreciate the tradition and character of our estate.
