VISIT BODEGAS DURÓN [RIBERA DEL DUERO]
Our winery in Ribera del Duero is located in Roa, a municipality in the province of Burgos, which is the headquarters of the Regulatory Council of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin and is extolled as one of the most important wine regions of Spain.
We have more than 100 hectares of our own vineyards under the seal of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, spread over different estates near our riverside winery where we grow the Tinta del Pais grape, the base variety of our Ribera del Duero wines, as well as other plots for growing the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties. This allows us to take the utmost care of the winemaking process, from the vine to the bottling.
The visit offered at Bodegas Durón lasts approximately 90 minutes and consists of a detailed description of the winemaking process of our wines, discovering the vinification and aging of the same, while contemplating a magnificent Castilian landscape.
During the visit you will taste 3 wines to discover the diversity of the winery's estates and a traditional pairing with local Castilian artisan products prepared by the winery's chef. This appetizer is composed of Churra sheep's cheese with homemade Tinta del País grape jam, piquillo peppers confit in red wine, Burgos blood sausage and oil cake bread.
In addition to enjoying the visit through the winery, and after tasting the wines and the appetizer, you can go to the dining room-viewpoint of Bodegas Durón where you will taste the traditional cuisine of the region: a menu consisting of Castilian soup, lamb baked in adobe oven with salad, dessert and coffee. All paired with the Crianza of the winery.
