Bodegas Habla

VISIT BODEGAS HABLA WINERY IN CÁCERES | WINE TOURISM

The legend says that when the genius Michelangelo finished sculpting his Moses, he found it so realistic that he threw a hammer on the sculpture's knee and said: "Speak!", perhaps feeling that the only thing that remained to be extracted from that piece of marble was life itself. From this story, from the tenacity of this Renaissance artist and, above all, from his level of demand and constant search for absolute perfection, the Habla label was born, a brand that pursues the highest excellence within the affordable luxury segment and whose wines express in every drop the untamed and magic of nature and the creativity and affection of those who work it.

THE PURSUIT OF PERFECTION

The project of Bodegas Habla began with map in hand, with the search for the perfect terroir to fulfil its objective: to produce groundbreaking, avant-garde wines of unquestionable quality that would make them a reference both within and beyond our borders. After analysing several regions in Spain, an estate was chosen very close to the town of Trujillo, a place with little winemaking tradition but with the potential to make great wines thanks to its particular microclimate and the qualities of the land, which has two exposures and slate and clay soils that maintain a temperature five degrees lower than the rest of the area.

200 HECTARES OF VINEYARD

The vineyard was planted in 2000 with red Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Petit Verdot and white Sauvignon Blanc grapes, and currently covers 200 hectares divided into 42 plots from which the Habla collection of 'haute couture' wines, the 'prêt à porter' wine Habla del Silencio, the young Habla La Tierra and the white wines Habla de ti and Habla Duende are produced.

BEYOND CÁCERES...

Outside Extremadura, the winery makes the wine Habla del Mar -whose fermentation takes place at a depth of 15 metres in the bay of San Juan de Luz- and controls a few hectares of vineyards in the south of France: in Côte des Blancs, where the champagne Moses is made, and in the best area of Côte de Provence, in front of the Sainte Victoire mountain, in an area of clay soils planted with 40-year-old vines, where the sensual rosé Rita originates.
