VISIT WINERIES ONTAÑON IN LOGROÑO [RIOJA]

If you are thinking of visiting one of the wineries of La Rioja, you can not miss Ontañón and its particular Wine Temple. 

A different type of winery visit! Where you will learn in a fun way the Tasting Rituals in the Wine Bar "La Sacristía", accompanied by tasty tapas, in addition to knowing the wine spaces ( tanks and barrels rooms and the subway wine cellar). 

It is undoubtedly one of the most special wineries of the appellation and it is only 5 minutes by car from the center of Logroño. 

The Pérez Cuevas family, founders of Bodegas Ontañón, has been connected to the land and wine for more than 80 years. Even back then, they made wine in their hermitage-style winery in the Barrio de Bodegas de Quel, following a tradition of more than 300 years. Their adoration for this beverage led them to share their "Cult of Wine" with the rest of the world and that is why they founded the first Temple of Wine in Logroño. They did not just create a winery in which to make and age their wine, but a special place where, cared for by the God of Wine and Mythological Heroes in the form of huge sculptures, paintings and stained glass windows, Ontañón Familia wine reaches its maximum expression.

 

The "Wine Cult" draws from the sources of all classical religions that extolled wine as a magical elixir and draws especially on Greek mythology as an iconic and narrative element. In any case, it is a contemporary and fun cult where everyone is welcome.
