VISIT PERICA WINERY IN RIOJA ALTA [WINE TOURISM]
Bodegas Perica is a family winery with strong traditional values that has its origins in 1912. We have more than 150 hectares of our own vineyards in the best areas of Rioja Alta, thus controlling the total production of our vineyards and the careful winemaking process in the winery.
Don Juan García, founder of the winery, destined these wines for local consumption and for sale in neighboring towns. Gradually, due to the success achieved, it was his son Don David García, affectionately nicknamed Perica, who inherited the project and consolidated it, giving it his nickname, building the winery and registering it with the Rioja Designation of Origin Control Board in 1950.
Currently, the third generation, Rosa and David, are leading the project. The children of "Perica", together with their professional team, have decided to carry out important reforms in the winery to implement the latest technologies.
OUR WINES
We produce a great variety of wines; white, red and rosé young wines, Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva, Signature wines, Singular Vineyards and Cava.
As for the grape varieties, they can be classified as follows:
- White varieties: Viura (mostly), Chardonnay, white Tempranillo, Verdejo, Malvasía.
- Red varieties: Tempranillo (mostly), Garnacha, Maturana, Mazuelo, Graciano.

Somos de Tenerife y hemos hecho una visita hoy junto con unos amigos de Madrid a esta bodega. Hemos de decir que ha sido espectacular y hemos salido encantadisimos. La bodega y su historia es maravillosa. Diego nos ya hecho el recorrido y hemos de decir que muy profesional y nos ha tratado de maravilla. David, su dueño, también muy amable y el recibimiento fenomenal. Es una visita obligada si visitas esta región. Muy recomendable. Volveremos. Gracias por todo a Diego y a David.
Un gusto de servicio, tanto en la presentación de la bodega como en la posterior cata. Muy recomendable para conocer una bodega de calidad y beber buen vino!
