Bodegas Navaltallar

VISIT BODEGAS NAVALTALLAR [VALTIENDAS]

Bodegas Navaltallar is located in the Segovian municipality of Navalilla, a few meters from the Duratón River, near Sepúlveda, and is part of the Valtiendas Protected Designation of Origin, a unique territory completely surrounded by the Ribera del Duero PDO. With an average altitude of 920 meters, compared to 780 meters for our neighbors on the river, Valtiendas is the highest designation of origin in Europe, which gives our wines unique characteristics.

Bodegas Navaltallar was founded in 2003 by Romualdo Maldonado and his family with the aim of reviving the wine-making tradition of Navalilla. This is a town with deep historical roots, as, according to the chronicles of Castile, King Alfonso VII—the founder of the Community of Villa y Tierra de Sepúlveda—was already sending for wine from these lands at the dawn of the 12th century.
