VISIT CANALS & MUNNÉ WINERY [PENEDÈS]
Canals & Munné is a family winery in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia producing cava and wine since 1915, when Josep Canals Capellades started the business. Today the fifth generation of the family is at the helm, with Òscar Canals Medina as winemaker, Ivan M. Canals as commercial director and Montserrat Canals Torres as manager.
Production is split between two buildings: the old cellar from 1915, in the centre of the village, dedicated to weekend wine tourism and the restaurant, and the new cellar from 1998, located among the vineyards, where the cava wines are made. 90% of production is classified as Gran Reserva by the Cava Regulatory Board, and the winery has received several Grand Gold Medals in international competitions, including the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
WINE TOURISM
Visits take place on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with various time slots throughout the morning and afternoon, in Catalan, Spanish and English.
Tour + Tasting at the Winery
A walk through the vineyards and the facilities of the new cellar, with a live demonstration of disgorgement and labelling following traditional methods.

- 3 cava and wine tastings
- Snack platter of cheeses, sausage and crisps

- Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
- Schedule: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with several time slots between 10:15 and 18:15

Premium Tasting at the Original 1915 Cellar
A tasting of organic and extended-ageing cavas in the original 1915 cellar, paired with cured meats from the Penedès. Includes references aged between 50 and 120 months.

Excursion Package
A visit to the new cellar, tasting of three wines or cavas with snacks, and a traditional festive lunch at the restaurant of the old cellars, with a sharing-plates menu, grilled meats and homemade dessert.

Nos gustó mucho la experiencia, nuestro guía Carles, nos explicó con mucha gracia todo el proceso de esta bodega. He de recomendar el pack 3 catas + comida es bastante completo y el restaurante tiene un servicio excelente. Repetiremos la visita, muy recomendable.
Fui sin saber muy bien qué esperarme y salí encantado. La visita guiada está muy bien estructurada: te explican todo el proceso del cava desde el viñedo hasta la botella, ves en directo el degüelle y el etiquetado artesanal, y vas probando cavas y vinos durante el recorrido. Al final te espera un pica-pica con longaniza del Penedès, queso y uno de sus cavas rosados. La copa de bienvenida de regalo es un detalle que se agradece. Por 20€ es un plan difícil de superar.
Una experiencia inolvidable. Visitar las Cavas Canals i Munne fue un planazo. El lugar es precioso, la atención impecable y se nota que todo el equipo disfruta con lo que hace. La visita fue muy interesante, aprendimos muchísimo sobre el proceso del cava y, además, la cata fue una delicia —cada copa mejor que la anterior. Terminamos comiendo en su restaurante y fue el broche perfecto: comida riquísima, productos de calidad y un ambiente tranquilo. Agradecer especialmente a Sandra, Carles y Otman, una clase magistral! Han hecho que la experiencia sea inolvidable. Totalmente recomendable, tanto para una escapada con amigos como para una experiencia especial en pareja. ¡Volvería sin dudarlo! 🥂
