Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba planted his first vineyard in 1975. He did it on an old gravel pit recovered for viticulture, reproducing the natural conditions of the soils of Rioja. This was the beginning of Viña Ijalba, founded as a winery in 1991. A pioneering winery in the production of quality organic wines following the traditional techniques of Rioja and respecting to the maximum, until the current third generation, its commitment with the environment.

ORGANIC AND SINGLE VARIETAL WINES FROM LA RIOJA

We have a wide variety of organic wines. Whites, rosé and reds; Unoaked, Crianzas and Reservas. In terms of grape varieties, the most outstanding is our range of single varietal wines: Graciano, Maturana Blanca, Maturana Tinta and Tempranillo blanco. However, we also work with Viura and Tempranillo Tinto grapes among others.

Guided tour with tasting
Would you like to visit the first organic winery in Rioja?
At Viña Ijalba we propose a walk through our vineyards, followed by a tour of the facilities so that you can get to know the place where we make our wines. The experience will end with a visit to the barrel room to learn about the processes we carry out there and the tasting of 3 organic wines with an appetizer of km0 products.

Visit glass in hand 
In this option we invite you to know every change that occurs in our product as it progresses through the winemaking process. And all this with a "glass in hand". You will appreciate the sweetness of the must, the change after fermentation and the time in barrel. You will know every corner of the winery and finally, you will taste the wine in the bottle; the finished product.
