This recognition confirms the wine as one of the purest and most complex expressions of the Pedro Ximénez grape, reaffirming Alvear as a key name in Spanish winemaking. Crafted from a meticulous selection of the finest harvests since 1998, it has aged statically for over 20 years in the Las Higueras cellar, achieving exceptional depth, elegance, and balance.
In the glass, Pedro Ximénez de Sacristía 1998 displays a deep mahogany color, nearly black. On the nose, it offers powerful aromas of raisined grapes, plum jam, caramel, and subtle balsamic hints. On the palate, it is silky and intense, with enveloping complexity reminiscent of cocoa, coffee, noble wood, leather, and a refreshing acidic touch that balances its natural sweetness.
